I had a dark life until I walked into EDGE and from that moment on, my whole life turned around. Once I met Ms. Fran, I knew something was going to be right because she kept telling me, “God has got you.” I strongly believe that’s true. I’ve been through a lot in my life. I’ve been through things that you could not even imagine, and I’m only 21. Now I have my GED with the help and encouragement from of my teacher, Ms. Hartage. I’m ready to start a real life. I’ve always wanted to go to college, get a good job and be successful. I’m ready to live the good life now. I know how it is to have nothing and be down; struggling seeing everyone around me in jail and even going to jail myself. I now have the chance to take my life to the next level and I want to take full advantage of this opportunity. When I get in Saint Augustine College, I promise, I will never look back. I want to give special thanks to Ms. Fran. If it was not for Ms. Fran, I would have never met Prophet Lee. Prophet Lee helped me get my life on track.

The EDGE staff has become like my family; they saw my potential and brought something out of me I didn’t know I had. Thank you Ms. Fran for giving me the chance to get it right. I will never forget all of the people who helped me.
